live every week like it's shark week.

The husband and I like to live every week like it's shark week, but when it is actually shark week, we celebrate. It's fun to get into and have something to party about in August. We did two different celebrations this year 1. a date night just the two of us, and 2. a kick-off party with family. You will notice a difference in quality of these pictures, because some of them I took in the nice daylight when I was prepping for our date night, and some were taken on Sunday night at 8 pm when it was dark. That's when the party was, though, ya know?

Jacob's cheeser smile after putting finishing touches on his Sharkmelon. He also made the hats. He's crafty.

For date night, we had little tuna sandwiches, popcorn shrimp,  and blue jello topped with gummi sharks. I actually offer these little sandwich or cupcake toppers as free printables here, in case you're interested.

For the family party I made shark fin cupcakes (first photo.) They were DELISH.

We decorated the shark victim cookies for date night and then munched on them at the party. My nephews were not amused by Shark Week. I think they need to get a little older. They did like wearing their shark fin party hats though.

Blue sprite! "ocean water" ...it's all in the details.

This is how sad we are when Shark Week ends. This pic is actually from when SW12 ended, our hats were cool last year too.
